The first recipients of the Cowboy Up award, created by the Meeker High School Class of 2020, were honored last Thursday during halftime at the boys’ basketball game. The four citizens chosen by members of the class of 2020 have displayed “extraordinary commitment to or support of Meeker High School” and are of “high moral character and good role models for students. In the future, the senior class will choose one inductee. The founding class inducted three: Dale Frisby (posthumously), Bobby Gutierrez and Dale Dunbar. Ed Coryell is the inductee for the Class of 2021. Emma Lou Frisby and daughter Vicky Tate received the award for Dale Frisby.
