
MEEKER | Cowboy baseball is 14-8 and sitting first in their league.
They played four games last week, winning all, and improving the record. Starting Tuesday at home against Moffat County when the Cowboys won game one 7-5 and game two 7-6. They then turned their sights to the Rangely Panthers.
“We got pumped up for the big league game by putting up three runs in the first inning,” commented head coach Donald Blazon.
Carson Klinzmann started on the hill and had another great performance, 12 strikeouts and only three BB.
The final game was another one at home against Grand Valley where the Cowboys finished the Cardinals in five innings, 13-2.
Skylar Browning started on the mound and had six strikeouts and zero walks.
One game remains this Friday when the Cowboys take on Rangely again but this time for the league title. Game time is 11 a.m.
