The Meeker High School softball team opened September on the road, traveling to Basalt High School Sept. 1 for a doubleheader against the Longhorns.
The Cowboys dropped both games, falling 13-1 in the opener before losing the nightcap 20-5.
Meeker’s offense collected three hits in the first game. Junior Sienna Rolen finished 1-for-1 with an RBI, while senior Kayla Castillo and sophomore Haigen Harrison each recorded a hit.
