This month, ERBM Recreation and Park District is excited to announce the award of a $100,000 grant from Great Outdoors Colorado (GOCO) to fund a comprehensive update to the District’s Master Plan.
This process will focus on aligning ERBM’s long-term goals, future opportunities, and strategic financial planning to support sustainable recreation. The original Master Plan was implemented in 2012 and requires this overhaul to ensure operations remain resilient and responsive to new community needs.
The upcoming planning process will involve assessing recreation trends, evaluating existing assets, and creating a long-term strategy for equitable programming. The District extends its sincere gratitude to GOCO for their continued partnership, as well as to our community members and patrons whose support remains vital as we navigate the future of our local parks and recreation servicesPlease stay tuned for ways to get involved in the process!

We hope to see you at Meekerpalooza downtown tomorrow night, June 26! The Meeker Market begins at 4 p.m. and will feature a variety of local and regional vendors. The beer garden opens at 6 p.m., with all proceeds benefiting the Meeker Arts & Cultural Council. Live music also starts up around 6 p.m. Come enjoy music from a variety of eras by the five-piece band “The Mixx.” Finally, our Pickleball Tournament starts at 6:30 p.m. Pre-register at erbmrec.com/pickleball.
Next weekend, we’ll celebrate America’s 250th birthday with Range Call events, including the new Fireworks Pickleball Tournament, Run For Your Life 5K, and Stars N’ Stripes 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament! Finally, come bounce and splash for free at the MRC on July 11 and July 22! Enjoy free admission to the MRC all day, as well as indoor inflatables in the pool starting at 11:30 a.m. and outdoor activities and inflatables from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. (weather permitting).
