On July 15 Rangely residents enjoyed a concert at Elks Park by Lendon James and the Highway 34 Band with a mission to raise money for Rangely fifth-grader Isabella Cox, who has been fighting B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia in Salt Lake City since April. Benefit organizer Steve Osborn reports $4,800 was raised from the donations by concertgoers. A big thank you goes out to event sponsors Big D’s and the Smuts Family, Chill Mortgage, Urie Trucking and Urie Rock, Tina Carstens and Lisa Piering.
