Doris was born Jan. 28, 1928, in Corona, California, the youngest daughter of Walter and Inez Whalin. She grew up in Meeker, graduating from Rio Blanco County High School in 1946. Doris died Jan. 13, 2018, in Deming, New Mexico. Graveside services will be held at Highland Cemetery on Aug. 9, 2024, at 1 p.m.
