RANGELY | Junior high boys’ basketball finished up this weekend at the district tournament in Craig. Both the A and B team played Craig first.
“Both teams came out with a loss but there were a lot of good things,” said coach Jimmie Mergelman.
In the A game Marsten Wagner led the scoring with six points and Timothy Scoggins led with eight rebounds.
In the B game Anthony Dorris led with six points. Both teams then played Meeker.
“They all played well, just fell short,” said Mergelman.
Anthony Dorris led the B team with 15 points, Fisher Winder led the A team with six points, followed by Andrew Dorris and Scoggins with five apiece.
“It was a good finish to the season and I am looking forward to next year,” Mergelman said.
