MEEKER I The lady Cowboys only had one game this week as they had previously played Soroco. This week they also traveled to North Park Saturday and suffered a tough 65-73 loss.
“Our team played well,” said head coach Jamie Rogers. “We just had some foul trouble we couldn’t overcome.”
North Park shot 31 free throws and made 29 of them, nearly half their points coming from Cowboy mistakes.
Hailey Knowles had another double-double with 11 rebounds and 23 points. Sarah Kracht scored four points in the first half but in the second half “drove hard to the basket and made some breakaway layups and finished with 22 points,” commented Rogers.
Ainsley Selle had seven rebounds and “a couple of great put backs off of offensive rebounds,” said Rogers, “and Hadley Franklin had one of her best games; she made some strong offensive moves and had some big rebounds.”
The lady Cowboys now sit 6-6 overall and 3-2 in the league.
This week they look forward to three games and lots of action as they play Thursday in Baggs against Little Snake River, Friday they host Cedaredge, and then Saturday travel to Debeque.
