MEEKER | No matter the rankings the lady Cowboy volleyball team can say they are undefeated and ready to host the post season volleyball tournament.
They are 12-0 and ranked number three in the state in the composite ranking; number one in RPI, number three in the coaches poll, and number four in MaxPreps.
Last weekend the team played in front of packed stands as they hosted Plateau Valley. After a slow start in the first quarter they swept PV 26-24, 25-24, 25-20.

The team then traveled to Oak Creek to take on the ninth ranked Soroco Rams, which, due to supposed COVID on the Vail Christian volleyball team, was the final game of their regular season. The Cowboys gave up the first set 20-25, but came back strong winning the final three 25-17, 25-20, 25-16. They took the game 3-1 and ended their season only losing five sets on the year.
This weekend Union Colony Prep and Yuma will travel to Meeker for the number three hosted regional volleyball tournament. UCP is a school in Greeley, they are currently ranked 14 in the composite ranking with a 10-4 ranking, in their final regular season game of the year they took on the Denver Christian Thunder losing 3-2 but played them strong. Yuma is currently ranked 23 in the composite ranking and has a 6-8 losing record.
The games this weekend will be open to all spectators, masks required. The first game will be at 11 am with Meeker taking on Yuma, in game two Yuma will take on UCP and then in game three Meeker will take on UCP. The winner of the tournament advances to the state tournament of elite eight in Colorado Springs on May 12-13
