Sydney Hughes led the team in kills with 11, followed by Reagan Pearce with six and Megan Parker with five. Halle Ahrens led all blockers over the weekend and continues to make her presence felt on the floor. Brittany Smith and Jamie McLaughlin led the team in digs.
Coach Janae Stansworth said, “Everyone helped with the win Saturday,” against Hotchkiss. Hughes once again led the team in kills with eight, and she was followed by Reagan Pearce with seven. Meeker won game one 25-14, game two 26-24, and game three 25-14.
Meeker will play Rangely at noon Friday and Vail Christian at 1:30 p.m. The winners of each pool will play Saturday for seeding in the regional tournament.
Stansworth said, “The girls are excited and are working hard to come out of districts and move onto regionals.”
