RANGELY — If I were to only use one word to describe the RHS Lady Panthers latest victory it would have to be consistent. Take one look at the quarter by quarter scoring and you’ll see what I mean.
On the offensive side the Panthers scored 13, 18, 14 and 15 points. More impressively, the stingy Panther defense only allowed six, six, eight and four points in each of the four quarters.
It’s not hard to see that the math is going to come out in favor of the Cats.
And confidence isn’t the only good thing to come out of this win … it also assured the Lady Panthers that they would be hosting a game for the first round of the district tournament this coming Saturday at RHS.
The scoring lines for the night also showed a balanced scoring effort with four different players getting into double digits. Victoria Phelan had 18 points accompanied by nine rebounds, followed by Audrey Hogan with 11 points, Megan Piering and Hillary Hayes also put in 10 apiece.
This game concluded the regular season for the Lady Panthers, who will now host West Grand at 1 p.m. on Saturday at RHS. Come out and support these student athletes and help add to the playoff momentum.
