Letter to the Editor: Disappointed in BMS wrestling coverage

Dear Editor:
It is with great disappointment that the Herald Times would leave a young child out of a very important and honoring milestone in his life.
There was an article in the April 4 edition regarding the young men who represented Barone Middle School at state wrestling. Every child was mentioned but one! That would be my child, Brett McGruder.
He worked very hard just like every other child mentioned and was left out of the story. He wrestled his first match and fell short of winning, then came back to pin two other kids, losing in the consolation round.
He was a very independent and strong wrestler as he bumped an entire weight class, leaving his opponents much bigger than him. He did an outstanding job and went the entire season with just two losses.
Again it is with great disappointment that one child would be left out, and I do believe Brett deserves an apology.
