Dear Editor:
The introduction of the wolf to Western Colorado would be horrible for Colorado’s future.
Now those pushing for this introduction have apparently secured enough signatures to have the issue on the Colorado ballot next election. This was accomplished by hiring an out-of-state firm to come in and canvass the state asking Coloradans with some “gimmicky” question along the line of “would you support a movement to balance nature on Western Colorado’s public lands with the introduction of the wolf.”
On the surface this seems to be a simple, harmless question and idea. But the reality of the effort is that most of the people responding know nothing of the commanding abilities and nature of the wolf. They don’t know that the wolf answers only to the predator, man, and comes right into the scene at the top of the food chain, overpowering all other creatures of mother nature. They immediately establish an environmental holocaust for our wildlife, livestock and way of life.
This introduction effort is being funded and supported by those living beyond Colorado’s borders who have nothing to lose. Their probable strategy will be to take out millions of dollars of ads extolling the grandness of the project. Nothing will be said about the destructive power of the wolf, nor of how quickly this destruction and annihilation will affect every living thing in Western Colorado.
I am asking you to seriously consider this forthcoming battle of yes and no and support us to stop this introduction.

I just finished reading your comments concerning the Mistake in your paper last week, and ya know what? You could have summed it up by saying OOP”S I goofed I will they harder.
But what you put in the paper today was a long winded piece of garbage. My opinion.
