Thanks for dinner!
Dear Editor:
I want to thank the person or persons that bought our dinners at the Ma Famiglia. It was really nice because it was Valentine’s Day. Dinner was really special.
Thanks again,

Bleed Green Lancaster #17 Foundation Year-End Review
Dear Editor:
The Bleed Green Lancaster #17 Foundation had a busy and rewarding 2025. We are grateful for the continued support of our community and would like to share a few highlights since our last report.
Following our Cornhole Tournament in honor of Tristan Scott, two additional events contributed funds to further support Tristan. Tim Webber donated proceeds from the Carl and Peggy Rector Memorial Cribbage Tournament, and Mandi and Dylan Smuts contributed funds raised through the Mike Chism Poker Run. We extend our sincere thanks to them and to everyone who donated.
The 6th Annual Nick Lancaster Memorial Golf Tournament was held May 31 and was our most successful tournament to date. We tied for the largest tournament ever hosted at Cedar Ridges Golf Course — with a waiting list of teams hoping to participate. Thank you to the players, volunteers, sponsors and donors who made the day possible. We also offer a tremendous thank you to Chris Hejl and his staff for their continued partnership in hosting a first-class event.
In July, we hosted the 2nd Annual Bleed Green Lancaster #17 Junior High Football Camp with 30 participants. Campers focused on fundamental drills and techniques to build their skills, and several athletes were recognized for leadership and effort. Thank you to the high school players and coaching staff for assisting with the camp and to Get Your Stitch On for designing and producing the camp T-shirts. We look forward to next year’s camp — the future of Panther football is bright.
The 8th Annual Nick Lancaster Memorial Football Game took place Sept. 5. This year’s game ball was delivered by helicopter, creating a memorable moment for players and fans alike. Head Coach Keenan, his staff and the entire Panther football team once again honored Nick in a meaningful way. Mike Lancaster Sr. rode in the helicopter and presented the game ball to Jeren Blankenship and Mason Ducey.
We also extend a special thank you to Blue Mountain Energy–Deserado Mine for its generous support of our Junior High Football Program.
