Meeker Marlins swim team competes well at High Country championship

Meeker I The Meeker Marlin swimmers, an ERBM Recreation and Park District program, competed at the High Country Swim League Championship Meet at the Eagle Pool and Ice Rink in Eagle on July 29, and several of the swimmers did Meeker proud.

The swimmers participated in three meets this summer under coaches Shelly Rogers, Chance Walker, Jennifer Beck and Korey Hood.
Results from the Eagle Championships:
Swimmers receiving first-place medals were Zach Harman in the boys 13 and over 50-yard backstroke, and Brooklynn Nielsen in the girls 8 and under 25-yard backstroke.
Swimmers receiving second-place medals were Zach Harman in the boys 13 and over 50-yard butterfly, Landin Lopez in the boys 9-10 25-yard butterfly, Mason Allen in the boys 9-10 freestyle, and Jonan VonRoenn in the boys 6 and under 25-yard freestyle.
Swimmers receiving third-place medals were Landin Lopez in the boys 9-10 25-yard backstroke and Adrianna Price in the girls 9-10 25-yard freestyle.
The 9-10 100-yard freestyle-relay team of Mason Allen, Landin Lopez, Cameron Hanberg and Jonan VonRoenn also placed third.
Other swimmers who received ribbons for placing in the top six were Josh Harmon, Dublin Price, Dexter Chinn, Brooklyn Nielsen, Rayna VonRoenn, Adi Selle, Ella Dunn, Kate Lockwood, and Ellie Hossack.
