Coal Ridge High School hosted Meeker and four other schools at its Invitational meet this past Friday, with the girls racing first. Brighton Bair started strong and ran well, finishing in third place, with a time of 22:52. Haylee Steele also ran well, only a few seconds off her previous best time, but on this more difficult course. She finished in 41st place, at 29:58.
Wyatt Rollins and Gabe Smithers got off to good starts, and ran well throughout, finishing in 14th and 16th places, at 20:37 and 20:59 respectively. Eddie Drussell turned in a great effort this week, with a 21:54 for 21st place. Gage Richardson was two places behind him, running in 22:01. Aidan Tapia was our fifth scorer, and 28th overall, at 22:56. Our sixth to the finish, Oliver Holmes, ran the course in 23:42, for 32nd place. Cameron Hanberg finished 41st at 27:48, and Remy Broussard ran a 38:25 for 47th place.

The Cowboys will be running at the Glenwood Springs Demon Invitational this Saturday. The meet will be held on the CMC Spring Valley Campus, with high school races starting at 10 a.m.
