MEEKER | Three Cowboys represented the class of 2024 in the CHSSA All-State games in Pueblo, Colorado. Judd Harvey and Jace Mobley were each chosen as the players of the league; Harvey in football and Mobley in basketball and Jake Blazon was chosen by coaches across the state. The three were part of 400 top seniors that came together for one last high school competition.
Klark Kindler coached, for a second time, Mobley’s team.
“We had a fun group that played well and together. We were very small as our big guy had a broken ankle and another good sized kid did not show up. Jace was our tallest player and played two very good games. He shot the ball well and was probably our leading rebounder,” commented Kindler.
Harvey and Blazon played together on the South football team, Harvey played middle linebacker, fullback, and was chosen as a team captain while Blazon played outside linebacker and special teams. Both commented on the week of practice as being “a great time with a fun group of guys,” and the best part “getting to play again with a whole new group of friends.”
Mobley and Kindler hit the ground running with games on Tuesday and Wednesday while Harvey and Blazon practiced twice and day and were the last sport to play in the 2024 CHSCA All-State games.
