MEEKER | The Meeker Cowboys volleyball team has been making waves in the 2024 season with their impressive performance at the Glenwood Springs Tournament. Reese Clatterbaugh and Rylee Sullivan led the team to face off against tough competition from 3A and 4A schools, proving their skills on the court. Despite facing challenges with their offense, the Cowboys showed their determination and skill by securing victories over Roaring Fork and Pagosa Springs.
“Our match against Glenwood Springs showed off our resilience, even in the face of a formidable block,” commented head coach Greg Cravens. The Cowboys faced difficulties against the Steamboat Springs’ middle hitters, the experience provided valuable insights for the team to work on their strategies and skills moving forward.
Looking ahead, the Cowboys are gearing up for a showdown against Debeque this Friday. With Debeque boasting a roster of athletic players, the Cowboys understand the importance of excelling in serves and serve receives to clinch a win.
As the season progresses, the Meeker Cowboys are focused on honing their strengths and addressing areas for improvement.
“Our coaches and teams are determined,” wrapped up Cravens. “We are poised for success in the upcoming matches.”
