MEEKER | The June 10 meeting started promptly at 7 p.m. with board president Bud Ridings presiding.
The first order of business was with regard to the board of directors honoring staff members for their attendance achievements. The honorees were rewarded with Meeker Chamber Bucks. (See sidebar)
There was a brief discussion regarding Meeker High School leadership training. Principal Amy Chinn stated that they are working on a two-week leadership unit and will be working with the coaches in this regard.
The board of directors were updated on the progress of the high school construction project. At this point, the high school is essentially off limits to construction crews because of preliminary demolition and abatement tasks underway. Superintendent Selle said he hoped the abatement process would be complete by July 8. A demonstration of the construction progress may be possible at that time.
All other action items on the agenda were approved.
