MEEKER | Start your Fourth of July with a bang and a bounce. The Stars N’ Stripes 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament returns this Independence Day.
The event will have a new location this year. Games will take place in the parking lot behind the Administration Building at 555 Garfield St. We may have changed the place, but not the pace! This energetic 3-on-3 basketball tournament is for anyone third grade and above, including “adult-size” kids. Teams are grouped by grade: 3rd-4th; 5th-6th; 7th-8th; 9th-12th; and 18 years and older. The 3rd-4th grade is co-ed. All other ages are grouped male and female.
Gather your friends and come up with your best goofy team name. Teams require a minimum of three, but you can have a fourth player to rotate in the game. Players may elect to play up one bracket, but not down.
Games begin at 12 p.m. You can skip the line and pre-register online at erbmrec.com/register, or register in person at Meeker Recreation Center until 4 p.m. on July 3. Please tell us your team name, teammates and shirt sizes. Late registrations will be taken in the parking lot (cash or check only) on the day of the event. Team check-ins are 10:30-11:30 a.m. Rules and regulations are available at the Recreation Center.
