Community News Roundup ~ May 28, 2026

Herald Day is here again!

And now the theme song from “Happy Days” is stuck in my head. “Sunday, Monday, happy days. Tuesday, Wednesday, happy days…” You know, that’s probably not a bad earworm to have right now. Thanks, brain.

Summer may still be a few weeks away on the calendar, but with graduation (the Meeker High School graduation section is in this week’s paper, by the way) and Memorial Day now behind us, it certainly feels like we’ve crossed into summer territory.

Thank you, each and every one of you, for supporting this 141-year-old institution. It’s one of the things that makes this community stand apart — right alongside our Memorial Day traditions and the phenomenal accomplishments of our graduating seniors, and a whole list of other things that make this place special.

Have a wonderful week, dear readers.
