DINOSAUR | A grand jury investigation for the 14th Judicial District into the actions of the Dinosaur town board of trustees regarding enforcement of an ordinance prohibiting camping and the termination of the town marshal has come to a conclusion: no indictments will be issued.
The grand jury will instead produce a report of its investigation that will be submitted to the District Court for review, according to a press release issued Monday. The court will then determine whether the report will be released to the public. Individuals named in the report will be given an opportunity to comment.
Meanwhile, the Town of Dinosaur has hired former Rangely police chief Larry Elarton as its new marshal, along with an additional deputy.
