Gladys Eileen Williams
March 30, 1939 ~ Dec. 13, 2019
Gladys Eileen Williams was born in Meeker, Colorado, on March 30, 1939, to George and Geneva Findlay. She passed peacefully on Dec. 13, 2019, in Glenwood Springs, Colorado, at the age of 80.
Our mother loved riding her horses as a young girl, most times being her only means of transportation to school and back.
With the exception of four years in Alaska and a few years in California, she spent her life in Meeker. She was a country girl to the core. Strong and extremely independent and tough as nails, she loved her little piece of land in Lion Canyon.
She was preceded in death by her parents George and Geneva Findlay; three spouses — Carl Stoneman, Oley Williams and Tomie Dillashaw; and three children — Johnny Stoneman, Carlene Stoneman and Billy Stoneman.
Gladys is survived by her beloved Aunt Marge Fulton of Toad River, B.C.; daughter Barbara (Stoneman) Ramirez [husband, Roger] of Odessa, Texas; daughter Valorie (Stoneman) Livesay [husband, Tim] of Winter Haven, Florida; son Lanny Williams [wife, Siriwan] of Silt, Colorado; and daughter Olynna Williams of Meeker, Colorado. Many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren who she loved dearly.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, Dec. 21 at 11 a.m. at Buffalo Hall in Meeker, Colorado, 275 Sixth St., (next door to Chippers).
Your mama was loved by all and will be sorely missed. She lived her life to the fullest and brought laughter and joy wherever she went. Love to you all and prayers to comfort you.
