Our beloved Luke Patrick Thomas, 37, passed away March 12, 2010. Born Nov. 5, 1972, in Montrose, he grew up in Meeker, the son of David Thomas and Julie (Suter). He is survived by his brothers and sisters, Sara Sanchez, Carrieann Williams, Maureen Christensen, Michael Thomas, Rex Thomas, Bridget Krause, his stepfather Bruce Suter, stepbrothers Tatton and Grant Sutter, stepmother Helen Thomas, stepbrother Matthew Greenburg and stepsister Susan Greenburg. He was always there to lend a helping hand and will be sorely missed.
He loved fishing and hunting in the White River country. He often accompanied his father, who hunted predators for the Rio Blanco County Woolgrowers. Luke was also proud of being a firefighter in the forests of Oregon. Luke was a successful businessman, the founder of A Home for Seniors Web site and The Texas Koffee House in Lufkin Texas.
The viewing was held at Rio Blanco Funeral Homes at 517 Park Ave. in Meeker. Funeral services will be held today at 10 a.m. at the Holy Family Catholic Church at 889 Park Ave., Meeker, followed by burial and reception.
