MEEKER I The Meeker High School boys’ basketball team played two very tough games in the 2014 Colorado 2A Basketball Championships in Pueblo over the weekend, finishing their season as one of the top eight 2A teams in the state.

County presents justice center concept plan
MEEKER I Roughly 90 people were present the evening of March 12 as the Rio Blanco County commissioners unveiled their concept drawing for turning the old Meeker Elementary School into a new justice center, which would hold the county jail, courts, sheriff’s office, county attorney and staff and court-related offices.

MEEKER I Former Meeker High School graduate and multiple-time Colorado state track champion Kathryn Doll was recently honored by Fort Hays State University for her academic accomplishment of a 3.55 grade point average, pursuing a degree in nursing in Hays, Kan.
