CNCC sets summer classes in Meeker

MEEKER I Registration for summer classes at Colorado Northwestern Community College’s Meeker Center started May 18 and 19. Schedules were mailed to local residents the first week of May. Upcoming classes include photography, knitting, basic computers, oil painting workshop, traveler’s Spanish, scrapbooking, GED, English and math.

Morgan Neilson gets scholarship from Elks

MEEKER I Morgan Neilson, a senior at Meeker High School, received one of two $500 scholarship awards from the Rifle Elks Lodge No. 2195. Also awarded a $500 scholarship, along with Neilson, was Stephanie Hayden of Coal Ridge High School.
