RANGELY | The Rangely Panthers volleyball team had an incredible night last Friday, securing a hard-fought victory against one of the top teams in the state, Vail Christian. The match was filled with energy and excitement, as it was the Saints’ homecoming game. It was a tightly contested battle, with both teams trading sets and entering the fifth and deciding set tied at two apiece. After falling behind by a couple of points, the Panthers rallied back, narrowing the score to 13-12 before winning the final three points to claim the victory. The final set scores were 22-25, 25-21, 25-20, 15-25, and 15-13.
The Panthers now face a busy week, taking on Meeker on Tuesday, West Grand on Friday, and Coal Ridge on Saturday. With this critical part of the season underway, their goal of hosting a regional is within reach.
