The second to last weekend of peewee wrestling concluded with 34 Cowboys competing in Rifle and a handful of wrestlers from high school to elementary competing at the Aztec Warrior Championships in Farmington, New Mexico.
“Our kids wrestled tough and did really well,” commented head coach Carl Padilla, “the ones that went to New Mexico wrestled freestyle for the first time and also did really well.”
In Rifle 11 of the 34 kids took first place, 10 took second, and seven took third.
