Dear Editor:
I practiced medicine in Meeker for two years, circa 1950, and, on one occasion, I was asked by the Colorado State Health Department to go to Willow Creek Oil Camp and give gamma globulin shots to the children of that town since there was one reported case of poliomyelitis there.
I have always wondered if there were any more cases reported in that community after that time.
Of course this was before Salk or Sabin vaccines.
I thank you in advance for running this as a letter to the editor in the Herald Times, and would welcome anyone to contact me if you have any information regarding the 1950s case or any other cases since that time.
