August proved to be a productive month for K-9 Remmy. During traffic stops and traffic complaints K-9 Remmy and team confiscated Whippets (nitrous oxide found in small metal canisters used in refillable whipped cream canisters), Schedule 3 prescription medications, methamphetamine, distribution baggies and paraphernalia.
K-9 Remmy and handler Deputy Smith will be joining the Colorado Police K-9 Challenge in Rifle on Sept. 21, 2019. Handlers and their canines will compete in agility, obedience, narcotics detection and apprehension abilities. This is free to the public and we encourage everyone to go support them and see how K-9 Remmy works. There will be a raffle for numerous prizes. Raffle tickets can be purchased at the Rio Blanco County Sheriff’s Office, $5 per ticket or $20 for five tickets (cash only).
They are also still looking for sponsors and donors for this event. Sales from the tickets support the CPCA K9 challenge. Any questions please call the Rio Blanco County Sheriff’s Office at 970-878-9600.
Stay safe guys
Great welcome to you both
