CALL SUMMARIES

4/25/2025- An Orkin truck hit a deer near the 56 mile-marker on Highway 13. It appears bug repellent is not deer repellent.

4/27/2025 @ 6:26 pm. A landowner shot and killed a dog that was harassing livestock on his property. Rio Blanco County Sheriff’s Office took a report. Sheriff’s note: It is legal to shoot and kill a dog harassing your livestock.

4/28/2025 @ 1:22 pm. A theft of a trailer with an air compressor was reported from an address on Highway 64. The trailer was entered as stolen. On 5/5/2025 Grand Junction PD located the trailer and impounded it. A deputy is assigned to the investigation.

5/2/2025 @ 11:48 pm. A daughter requested to file a missing persons report when her mother had left for Texas with all her belongings and money. The caller believed her mother was heading to Texas to meet the person she had been talking to online who just happened to be “Elon Musk.”

5/3/2025 @ 10:55 pm. Rio Blanco County Sheriff’s Office assisted Glenwood PD in locating a victim of a domestic violence who would be traveling through Meeker. The male suspect was accusing the female of driving under the influence. Meeker PD and the Sheriff’s Office made contact with the victim in town limits of Meeker to verify she was not driving under the influence. Glenwood Springs PD requested this assist so they could add false reporting charges to their case.
