ARRESTS
4-14-2026: Meeker PD arrested a 37 year-old male for Second Degree Assault, Obstruction of Telephone Service and Domestic Violence. He was taken to jail and bonded out.
4-18-2026: Rio Blanco County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 47 year-old male on a felony warrant out of Garfield County. He was taken to jail where he remains.
CALL SUMMARIES
4/12/2026 @ 2:28 am. A deputy, teamed up with a Colorado State Patrol trooper, responded to County Road 100 for a report of an unattended fire. The two officers handled their unexpected career shift into firefighting, successfully putting the blaze out and checking the area for any missing marshmallow enthusiasts.
4/13/2026 @ 4:49 pm. A juvenile launched his shoe that resulted in landing in a neighbor’s backyard. Unfortunately, the neighbor — reportedly allergic to friendliness — was not home at the time. The shoe was eventually recovered and safely returned to its owner.
4/14/2026 @ 9:14 am. A two vehicle accident occurred in the parking lot of Dollar General. No injuries were reported.
4/14/2026 @ 4:33 pm. Local brewery staff reported an already well-hydrated gentleman who attempted to continue his championship run but was politely cut off. Officers located him before he could get back into his vehicle and make a poor life choice. He opted for the better strategy of checking into a nearby hotel to sleep it off. No charges were filed.
4/17/2026 @ 5:28 pm. A one vehicle rollover accident ocurred near the 33 mile-marker on Highway 13. The single occupant was uninjured. CSP is investigating the accident.
