ARRESTS
A 43 year old male was arrested on 5/04/4023 on a domestic violence harrassment, parole violation and assualt. A PR bond was isssued the next day on 5/05/23.
CALL SUMMARIES
4/30/2023 @ 3:01 pm. A traffic complaint was reported near the 21 mile marker on Highway 13. The vehicle was reportedly passing on a double yellow, swerving and speeding. A deputy was able to locate the vehicle. The driver was issued a summons.
4/30/2023 @ 5:42 pm. A deputy on routine patrol in the area of County Road 5 and Highway 13 came across some smoke in the area. The unsupervised “controlled” burn had spread causing some poles and an electrical box to catch fire. Meeker Volunteer Fire Dept. responded and put the fire out and monitored the area overnight.
5/2/2023 @ 6:06 pm. A resident in the town limits of Meeker called to notify the police that the vehicle they sold was back in their driveway with the keys in it. Apparently the buyer no longer wanted the vehicle and requested their money back. The reporting party was advised that this would be a civil situation.
05/03/2023 @ 8:17 am. A car pumped gas and then drove off without paying. The vehicle was located at a residence in Meeker and the owner of the vehicle returned to the store to pay for the gas.
05/03/2023 @ 7:31 pm. A noise complaint was called into the Rio Blanco County Sheriff’s Office Communications Center regarding loud music in the town limits of Meeker. An officer responded and asked them to turn the music down.
05/04/2023 @ 12:18 am. A Meeker PD officer on routine patrol found a male party laying in the middle of the highway at County Road 8 and Highway 13. The ambulance was paged to respond but the party refused any assistance. Ultimately he was given a courtesy ride to a residence in Meeker.
5/4/2023 @ 4:28 am. A reporting party called 911 to report he had been hit with the barrel of a gun at a residence in Meeker. No medical attention was needed. The suspect was taken into custody for domestic violence harassment, protection order violation and 3rd degree assault .
5/5/2023 @ 2:19 pm. A burglary of a residence and camper was reported at a residence on the eastern side of Rio Blanco County. No suspects have been identified at this time.
5/6/23 According to the Ripple Creek Snotel site, there is 76″ of measurable snow!
