- 8/15/2022 @ 8:07 pm. A lightning strike was reported near the intersection of Deserado Mine. Rio Blanco County Sheriff’s Office and Rangely Fire Dept. were unable to locate any fire as a result of the strike.
- 8/17/2022 @ 12:24 am. Rio Blanco County Sheriff’s Office assisted Rangely PD with a male party that was causing issues in the police dept. lobby.
- 8/17/2022 @ 2:54 am. A deputy with the Sheriff’s Office came across a mudslide at approximately the 18 mile-marker County Road 5. Road and Bridge was notified.
- 8/17/2022 @ 8:19 am. Communications received a call in the area of the 2 mile-marker on County Road 23 of what was believed to be a big horn sheep with a bullet wound to the head. Colorado Parks & Wildlife was notified.
- 8/18/2022 @ 1:45 pm. Smoke reported on County Road 103. BLM was notified and did not need local resources to respond.
- 8/19/2022 @ 10:07 am. Rio Blanco County Sheriff’s Office assisted Rangely PD with a barricaded subject in town limits. Rangley PD took the subject into custody without incident.
- 8/19/2022 @ 1:33 pm. A crash involving injuries was reported near Highway 139. The dump truck was on its side and leaking diesel and antifreeze. The proper authorities were notified.
- 8/20/2022 @ 6:43 pm. A tree was struck by lightning and started on fire at the 3 mile-marker on County Road 122. BLM resources were notified.
- 8/21/2022 @ 7:54 am. Communications received a call regarding a crash that involved a truck that was in the river near the 20 mile-marker on County Road 8. The driver was not injured.
- 8/21/2022 @ 6:00 pm. A propane grill caught fire at a residence in the town limits of Meeker. Meeker Volunteer Fire Dept. responded and put the fire out. No injuries were reported
