ARRESTS
12/14/2025- Meeker Police Dept. arrested a 27 year-old male on driving under the influence of alcohol, drugs or both and driving a vehicle with blood alcohol content of 0.08 or more. He was issued a summons and released to a sober party.
12/14/2025- Meeker Police Dept. arrested a 33 year-old female on Domestic Violence, 3rd Degree Assault and Criminal Mischief. She was transported to Moffat County Jail. She was released on a PR bond.
12/20/2025- Meeker Police Dept. arrested a 59 year-old female on driving vehicle while ability impaired by alcohol, drugs or both. She was issued a summons and released to a sober party.
CALL SUMMARIES
12/14/2025 @ 12:30 am. A routine traffic stop at 3rd/Cleveland for not using a turn signal turned into a DUI arrest. The driver was issued a summons and released to a sober party.
12/14/2025 @ 5:48 pm. Rio Blanco County Sheriff’s Office assisted Meeker Police Dept with a domestic violence call and ultimately transported the female arrestee to jail.
12/14/2025 @ 10:48 pm. An off-duty deputy called in a traffic complaint in regards to a vehicle that was swerving on Highway 13. A deputy was able to locate the vehicle and get it pulled over. The driver reportedly displayed all the symptoms of sleep deprivation. No alcohol or substances were involved-only fatigue and the desire for sleep. A more functional driver was called to the scene to take over driving. The driver was issued a citation for cellphone use and weaving.
12/16/2025 @ 8:36 pm. Deputies were dispatched to a reported car vs. elk accident. Upon arrival, the responding deputy determined the animal involved was, in fact, a deer and not the much larger, more intimidating elk originally reported. No injuries were reported.
12/17/2025 @ 2:44 pm. Deputies responded to a report of a Pringles “theft” that quickly downgraded to aggressive self-checkout. The customer, overcome by impatience, exited the Corner Market with one can of Pringles after leaving money on the counter. No charges were filed.
12/20/2025 @ 10:50 pm. A routine traffic stop for failing to stop at a stop sign resulted in a DUI arrest. The driver was issued a summons and released to a sober party.
