ARRESTS
12/27/2024- A 41 year-old female was arrested by Meeker PD on a warrant for Misuse of Official Information, Embezzlement of Public Property, Theft and Cybercrime. She was transported to jail and bonded out the same day.
CALL SUMMARIES
12/22/2024 @ 11:32 am. A rooster attack occurred in the town limits of Meeker. The reporting party stated the rooster didn’t aggressively attack them however it wouldn’t let them get back up. Meeker Code Enforcement followed up with the rooster owners.
12/24/2024 @ 1:43 pm. A citizen got upset with the dispatcher when his phone accidentally called 911 and she called back to make sure everything was OK. An officer checked on the caller and he was indeed OK.
12/25/2024 @ 9:38 am. An Apple 911 alert came into the Communications Center reporting a severe crash. The Sheriff along with emergency services responded. Upon arrival it was determined the vehicle had slid off the road due to icy conditions. There were no injuries. Colorado State Patrol took over the accident investigation.
12/25/2024 @ 3:08 pm. The Communications Center was alerted of an overdue party from Rangely that had not shown back up home after going for a drive. A couple of hours later the overdue party was located at his residence and had just left for a bit to blow off steam after an argument.
12/27/2024 @ 6:48 pm. A suspicious vehicle at the Cemetery in Meeker turned out to be 2 teenagers eating their dinner.
12/27/2024 @ 10:47 pm. An Apple 911 alert came into the Communications Center regarding a cabin that was on fire on County Road 19 (Dunkley Pass area). Routt County Emergency Services assisted Meeker Volunteer Fire Dept. due to response time. There were no reported injuries, however the cabin was a total loss.
