ARRESTS
12/8/2025- Rio Blanco County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 48 year-old female for driving vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, drugs or both and possessing an open marijuana container. She was issued a summons and released to a sober party.
12/14/2025- Rangely PD arrested a 19 year-old male for 3rd degree assault and illegal possession or consumption of alcohol by a minor. He was released on a PR bond.
12/14/2025- Meeker PD arrested a 33 year-old female for domestic violence, 3rd degree assault and criminal mischief. She was released on a PR bond.
CALL SUMMARIES
12/7/2025 @ 07:02 am. Wife informed husband the yellow button on his phone would call 911. The husband pressed the button to see if this was true. It was. No emergency, curiosity satisfied.
12/7/2025 @ 6:40 pm. A car vs elk crash on Highway 13 was reported to the Communications Center and the elk was reportedly “trying to roll across the road.” Deputies were unable to locate the “rolling” elk.
12/8/2025 @ 4:40 pm. During a routine traffic stop for speeding, Rio Blanco County deputies arrested a female for driving a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, drugs or both and possessing an open marijuana container. She was released to a sober party.
12/11/2025 @ 11:26 am. A 4-year-old testing phone features called 911 while playing. It was determined there was not an emergency.
12/12/2052 @ 5:16 pm. A deputy responded to a car vs deer near the 43 mile-marker on Highway 64. There were no injuries however, the driver was given a courtesy ride by another deputy to Rangely so she wouldn’t miss her son’s basketball game. The other deputy remained on scene with her vehicle until the tow truck arrived 3 hours later.
