ARRESTS
12/11/2024– A 40 year old male was arrested by Meeker PD for DUI, Criminal Attempt, Criminal Mischief attempted, Disregarded Stop Sign, Failed to Maintain Lane, Obstructing a Peace Officer, Turning Movement and required signal and Drove without a Valid License. He was transported to jail.
12/15/2024– A 30 year old male was arrested by Rangely PD for Harassment (Domestic Violence). He was transported to jail.
CALL SUMMARIES
12/10/2024 @ 4:53 am. A one vehicle crash occurred at the 9 mile-marker on Highway 64. The driver of the over-turned semi had minor injuries and was transported to the hospital. Colorado State Patrol is investigating the crash.
12/11/2024 @ 10:47 am. A truck caught fire while parked at the intersection of County Rd 5 and County Rd. 22 prompted Meeker Volunteer Fire Dept. to respond. Nobody was in the vehicle, however the owner of the truck was nearby. There were no injuries as a result.
12/11/2024 @ 9:59 pm. A reporting party called in a disturbance at a local business which turned into a DUI arrest. A Meeker PD officer witnessed one of the vehicles leaving the scene. The officer conducted a traffic stop and the driver was arrested for DUI.
12/13/2024 @ 9:15 pm. A hit and run crash occurred at Highway 13 & County Rd. 8. A deputy spotted the suspect vehicle in the town limits of Meeker. The driver of the truck eventually stopped and was ultimately taken into custody for DUI. She was transported to the hospital for further evaluation. Meeker PD is investigating the incident.
12/14/2024 @ 2:17 pm. Another hit and run crash occurred at the 8 mile-marker on Highway 64 between a semi and a sedan. The semi driver kept driving, however the sedan was stopped in the area and the driver was found several feet from the vehicle. He was transported to the hospital. Alcohol is suspected to be a factor in the crash.
