ARRESTS
A 46 year old male was arrested on 12/16/2023 for Domestic Violence. He was transported to Moffat County Jail and released on a PR bond 12/18/2023 by Judge McConaughy.
CALL SUMMARIES
12/13/2023 @ 2:50 pm. A caregiver with a home health care agency was accused of taking a client’s prescription medication. The caregiver was asked not to return to the residence. The case is under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office.
12/13/2023 @ 3:26 pm. A 10 year-old child was seen at a hospital for alcohol consumption that occured at an address on County Road 8. The case is being investigated by the Sheriff’s Office.
12/13/2023 @ 7:59 pm. A concerned spouse requested a welfare check since her husband had not returned home from working out of town. The husband was just tired and had pulled over to get some rest before continuing home. A deputy located the party on Highway 139 and followed the vehicle home to make sure he made it home safely.
12/14/2023 @ 5:46 am. Routt County Sheriff’s Office had a Uhaul truck elude them in their county. Ultimately the Uhaul was located at County Road 8/County Road 19 in Rio Blanco County. Due to the road being inaccessible for Rio Blanco deputies, Routt County took the driver into custody for Felony Eluding.
12/15/2023 @ 10:21 am. A suspicious person walking on Highway 64 was called into the Communications Center. The party was reported to be “stumbling and carrying a Mountain Dew” The deputy was unable to locate the person.
12/15/2023 @ 9:12 pm. Overdue snowmobilers were reported to the Communcations Center in the County Road 53 area. The caller did not think the person was prepared to stay the night in the wilderness. Rangely Communcations did receive a text from the overdue parties stating they were uninjured but stuck. A friend of the two snowmobilers was contacted by the reporting party and was able to find the overdue parties. Everybody was okay and no Search and Rescue was needed.
12/16/2023 @ 10:21 am. A domestic violence incident between a husband and wife was called in at an address in Eastern Rio Blanco County. The male party was ultimately arrested. Minor injuries were reported however, no ambulance was needed.
