2/18/2023 A female party was arrested by Meeker PD for 2 warrants and transported to jail.
2/12/2024 A female party was arrested by Meeker PD for violating a protection order and transported to jail. She was issued a PR bond on 2/13/2024.
CALL SUMMARIES
2/11/2024 @ 6:38 pm. A vehicle struck an elk at the 43 mile-marker on Highway 139. The driver was not injured. The elk walked away.
2/12/2024 @ 8:54 am. A female party was called in to the police dept. for drinking alcohol which was a violation of her protection order. Meeker PD responded and she was arrested and taken to jail.
2/14/2024 @ 9:06 am. A smell of gas was reported at the Meeker Library. After the fire dept. and police dept. responded to investigate there was no smell of gas however the smell of books was prominent.
2/15/2024 @ 6:20 pm. The power outage resulted in 28 phone calls into the Communications Center within 3 minutes. There was only one dispatcher at the time answering all the phones but also during that time paged out the Fire Dept. and took a call for a non-injury accident.
2/16/2024 @ 7:46 am. A two vehicle accident on Highway 13 at the 25 mile-marker resulted in two patients that were transported to the hospital.
2/16/2024 @ 12:09 pm. Scout Energy in Range Ly reported that a transient was sleeping in the building. A deputy located the transient on Highway 64. The male told the deputy he stayed at the business to avoid hypothermia after his vehicle broke down. The deputy gave him a ride to the tow truck company that was taking care of his vehicle.
2/17/2024 @ 5:49 pm. Rio Blanco County Sheriff’s Office covered Rangely PD on a disturbance in the town limits of Rangely.
