CALL SUMMARIES
2/16/2026 @ 10:17 am. A local business owner reported that an unauthorized female had stayed overnight in their establishment. The owner requested extra patrols for the property. During a routine patrol the following evening, Meeker PD located the same individual inside the business. She was formally trespassed from the premises, and no charges were filed at that time.
2/19/2026 @ 2:13 pm. A sticker bush was reported to be blocking an entire lane of traffic and was dealt with accordingly, restoring safe travel for both vehicles and unsuspecting tires.
2/21/2026 @ 9:26 am. What was initially reported as a modular home on fire was later determined to be a controlled burn in the area of Highway 13 and County Road 5 with no home involved.
2/20/2026 @ 10:08 pm. A deputy on routine patrol noticed a vehicle that had been parked at the overlook for several hours and stopped to check on it. The occupant advised he was not stranded or in distress-just unable to smoke cigars at home and enjoying a peaceful overlook, a cigar, and YouTube.
2/21/2026 @ 4:40 am. A caller reported a large rock the size of a truck at the 12 mile-marker on County Road 5. Road and Bridge responded to take care of it.
Rio Blanco County Sheriff’s Office assisted Colorado State Patrol on several accidents this week. Due to the unknown white material that was falling from the sky, yes we still get some snow. Please pray for snow!
