CALL SUMMARIES
02/04/2024 @ 1:33 pm. It was reported that someone’s yard maintenance man had asked to borrow $500 to keep himself out of jail. He was supposed to pay it back by the end of January, but is no longer living in his apartment.
2/05/24 @ 7:09 am. A child called 911 talking about how her mom was sleeping even though the sun was up. It couldn’t be understood whether the child was unable to wake mom or the mom was unwilling to get up. When the officer arrived at the door, mom was up.
2/05/2024 @ 23:25 pm. A resident on County Road 8 reported he was jumped by a dog while trying to chase him off of his property. When the owner of the dog arrived on scene, he stated he was shocking the dog trying to get him to come home. There is an ongoing investigation.
2/06/2024 @ 6:44 pm. Flames and smoke were reported on Pinyon Street. The property owner was burning branches. He was advised there is no burning allowed in the town limits.
2/08/2024 @ 4:24 pm. A single vehicle accident at the 46 mile-marker on Highway 64 resulted in the car starting on fire. The fire was put out by an extinguisher and the driver was found to have a non-extraditable warrant and was transported to the hospital instead.
2/10/2024 @ 3:55 pm. A reporting party stated there was a vehicle on the side of the road that may have hit a deer. It looked like they were trying to get the horns from the deer and it appeared it might still be alive. When the deputy arrived, nobody was on scene except the suspected deer that had been dead for awhile.
