ARRESTS
1/13/2026- A 36 year-old male was arrested by Rio Blanco County Sheriff’s Office on a Failure to Appear on a traffic offense. He was taken to jail and granted a PR bond.
1/13/2026- A 29 year-old male was arrested by Rio Blanco County Sheriff’s Office on a 30 day mittimus, he was taken to jail.
1/13/2026- A 47 year-old male was arrested by Rio Blanco County Sheriff’s Office on a 6 month mittimus, he was taken to jail.
1/14/2026- A 39 year-old male was arrested by Garfield County and transported to Rio Blanco County jail on a sex assault warrant. He was taken to jail and was granted a PR bond.
1/15/2026- A 38 year-old female was arrested by Meeker Police Department on a protection order violation.
CALL SUMMARIES
1/12/2026 @ 6:53 pm. 911 hangup call received from a concerned toddler on Rodeo Road, Rangely. Deputy confirmed all incidents were accidental, all parties were 10-4. A gently reminder that children are faster than expected.
1/13/2026 @ 6:30 pm. Deputies responded to a traffic complaint involving a vehicle driving erratically on Highway 64. While investigating, a loose dog in the roadway caused a chain of events that resulted in a fence, a parked vehicle, and a “parked” patrol vehicle being added to the incident. No serious injuries were reported.
1/14/2026 @ 4:02 pm. Meeker PD responded to a report of a female passed out in a vehicle. Contact was made and it was determined the individual was taking a nap. No medical assistance was needed.
1/15/2026 @ 12:36 am. Assisted Meeker PD with an arrest for a protection order violation following a disturbance call. One female was arrested and transported.
