ARRESTS
1/19/2026- A 31 year-old male was arrested by Meeker PD for driving under the influence of alcohol/drugs or both and failed to drive in designated lane. He was issued a summons and released to a sober party.
1/19/2026- A 20 year-old female was arrested by Rio Blanco County Sheriff’s Office for driving vehicle while under the influence of alcohol/drugs or both, illegal possession or consumption of alcohol by minor-under 21, displayed expired plates and speeding. She was issued a summons and released to a sober party.
1/20/26 – a 29-year-old male was arrested by a BLM officer while assisting a local law enforcement agency with a warrant. The individual was subsequently transported to jail.
1/23/2026- Rio Blanco County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 39 year-old male for domestic violence, menacing and unlawful possession of a controlled substance. He was transported to jail and remains in custody.
CALL SUMMARIES
1/18/2026 @ 9:34 am. A traffic complaint came into the Communications Center regarding a vehicle that was having a hard time staying in its own lane. A Meeker Police Officer located the vehicle at 13th/Market St and initiated a traffic stop. The driver was issued a warning for failure to maintain lane and a stop sign violation.
1/18/2026 @ 3:28 pm. A traffic complaint came into the Communications Center regarding a vehicle that was swerving into oncoming traffic. A deputy located the vehicle at the 39 mile-marker on Highway 13. The driver was issued a warning for failure to maintain single lane and no front plate attached.
1/19/2026 @ 11:42 am. A local business called to report someone that was very intoxicated and had left in a vehicle. An officer located the vehicle at another place of business. It was determined the driver was in fact under the influence and was taken into custody.
1/19/2026 @ 10:58 pm. A deputy performing a routine traffic stop for speeding on County Road 4, turned out the driver was DUI.
1/21/2026 @ 10:27 pm. A male hotel patron was captured on camera kicking in the door to his own room. Despite being both the renter and the vandal, he was cited for criminal mischief and trespassed from the hotel.
1/23/2026 @ 8:50 pm. Authorities were notified by a concerned individual regarding a potential threat to her mother’s safety. In response, the Rio Blanco County Sheriff’s Office and Meeker PD arrived at the provided location. A male suspect was taken into custody on charges of domestic violence and menacing. Following the arrest, illegal drugs were also discovered.
1/24/2026 @ 4:05 pm. A Meeker PD officer observed a vehicle speeding but was unable to catch up. A deputy observed the same vehicle moments later, still speeding, and brought the effort to a successful conclusion. The driver was cited.
