ARRESTS
1/28/2025- Rangely PD arrested a 28 year-old male for driving without a valid Colorado Driver’s License, reckless driving and speeding 40mph+ over the posted limit. He was taken to jail and released on bond.
CALL SUMMARIES
1/27/2025 @ 5:13 pm. A small wildland fire was reported near the 35 mile-marker on Highway 13. Meeker Volunteer Fire Dept. had the flames extinguished at 5:41 pm.
1/28/2025 @ 3:50 pm. Rio Blanco County Sheriff’s Office assisted Rangely PD on a vehicle pursuit. The driver eventually stopped in the town limits of Rangely. He was taken into custody and transported to jail.
1/28/2025 @ 6:48 pm. A hybrid vehicle ran out gas at the top of Nine Mile pass. A deputy went to get some fuel for the stranded driver and she continued on her way.
1/30/2025 @ 8:03 am. A dog attack prompted a call to 911. Two pitbulls had reportedly attacked a dog severely, injuring it. Meeker PD did have to deploy a taser in order for the attack to stop. The pitbulls ran off but were later located and taken to the animal shelter for quarantine.
2/1/2025 @ 3:07 pm. A female party called 911 while standing inside the Sheriff’s Office building. She was instructed by the dispatcher to walk down to the dispatch window where she could talk to the 911 dispatcher in person. The female wanted to report an ongoing civil issue occurring on Highway 64.
