A 53-year-old male was arrested on 02/01/2024 for unlawfully aiming a firearm at another, disorderly conduct (discharge of firearm in public place), reckless endangerment, harassment (repeated communication at inconvenient cours) still in jail.
A 36-year-old male was arrested on 02/02/2024 for First degree criminal trespass, he is currently still in jail.
A 44-year-old male was arrested on 02/04/2024 on a Rio Blanco County Warrant he bonded the same day.
CALL SUMMARIES
1/28/2024 @ 7:05 pm. While on routine patrol an officer noticed an open door at a business on Main St. in Meeker. Meeker PD and Rio Blanco Sheriff cleared the building and everything was ok.
1/29/2024 @ 6:28 pm. A vehicle drove off the parking lot at Family Dollar in Meeker. No damage was done to the vehicle or the retaining wall.
1/30/2024 @ 12:54 pm. It was reported that an employee of the local trash company was chased with pepper spray by a male party and in the act of running from the suspect, the victim was injured however refused medical attention. This is still under investigation. This occured in the town limits of Meeker.
1/31/2024 @ 8:46 am. A door hanger was left at a residence on 11th st. for rooster noise.
1/30/2024 @ 12:07 pm. A traffic stop at Highway 64 & County Road 1 turned into an arrest when the driver was found to have multiple warrants. He was transported to jail.
1/30/2024 @ 6:07 pm. On routine patrol on Highway 139 the same deputy that arrested the driver from the previously mentioned traffic stop happened upon a motorist who appeared to need assistance. Upon further investigation, the male driver had multiple warrants and was taken into custody and transported to jail.
2/1/2024 @ 5:08 am. A deputy transported two subjects, Joey Muir and Kathryn Swan, to Dept. of Corrections in Denver from jail.
2/1/2024 @ 3:17 pm. A male party was taken into custody after he reportedly fired a gun from his camper near another residence in the town limits of Meeker. Nobody was injured.
2/2/2024 @ 3:59 am. An intruder was called in at an address in the town limits of Meeker. Law enforcement was able to locate the suspect and take him into custody. Later in the day another homeowner in the same area called to report they also had an intruder as well in the early morning hours. It is believed to be the same suspect.
2/3/2024 @ 4:43 pm. A motor vehicle crash occured at Meeker High School when an unoccupied vehicle started to slide and another vehicle swerved to miss hitting it and in the meantime hit another vehicle. No injuries were reported.
