A 45 year-old female was arrested on 7/16/2023 on 5 warrants out of Montrose. She was released on 7/17/2023 on PR bonds.
A 44 year-old male was arrested on 7/18/2023 on a Rio Blanco warrant he bonded out on 7/18/2023
CALL SUMMARIES
7/16/2023 @ 4:55 pm. Meeker Volunteer Fire Dept. was dispatched to the area of Ernie Gulch on County Road 22 for a new fire start. BLM Fire was also on scene. The fire was approximately 50 acres. Several air resources were ordered to assist with putting the fire out.
7/16/2023 @ 8:18 pm. What was thought to be a smoke report near County Road 57 turned out to be clouds after a deputy responded to check the area.
7/16/2023 @ 10:25 pm. A female party was arrested by Meeker PD on multiple warrants out of Montrose at Town Park in the city limits of Meeker.
7/18/2023 @ 6:45 pm. A male party was arrested by the Sheriff on a warrant after attending court in Meeker.
7/20/2023 @ 5:05 am. A suspicious vehicle was reported on County Road 46 on private property. A deputy responded to check the area and contacted the vehicle owners, they were asked to leave the property.
7/20/223 @ 9:13 am. Smoke was reported above the cross that overlooks Meeker. Meeker Volunteer Fire Dept. responded and reported that two trees were on fire. Fire units cleared the scene at 1:36 pm.
7/22/2023 @ 6:56 pm. A truck pulling a trailer crashed at the 40 mile-marker on Highway 13. The single occupant of the truck was transported to the hospital for his injuries.
