ARRESTS:
- 40 Yr old male sentenced to 18 months county jail on child abuse charges by Judge Norrdin
- 43 Yr old male sentenced to 90 days county jail on sex assault victim under 15 X3 by Judge Norrdin
- 57 Yr old male arrested on a Failure to Appear warrant PR bond Magistrate Shamis
- 40 Yr old male arrested on a Failure to Appear warrant PR bond Magistrate Shamis
CALL SUMMARIES:
- 7-18-2022 10:40 pm. Car vs. elk accident report on County Road 1. Driver had no injuries, although the elk had to be put down due to its injuries.
- 7-18-2022 @ 10:20 am. A citizen that was lodging in the Meeker area found a rifle in the room that they were staying in. The rifle was retrieved by officers and put in safekeeping.
- 7-18-2022 @ 17:58 pm Traffic complaint was called into the Communications Center on Highway 13. Deputy located the vehicle and the driver was warned.
- 7-19-2022 @ 3:38 pm Administrative Deputy took 2 subjects to Moffat County jail to serve their sentences.
- 7-19-2022 @ 5:25 pm Traffic complaint called in to the Communications Center regarding a vehicle that appeared to be driving too slow on County Road 8. The deputy located the vehicle and advised the vehicle was traveling at the posted speed limit. No traffic stop was initiated.
- 7-19-2022 @ 9:23 pm A single tree fire caused by lightning was reported in the area of County Road 69 on BLM property.
- 7-19-2022 @ 10:06 pm Report of several vehicles in the area of the Green Bridge near Rangely possibly drag racing. Deputy arrived and broke up the large amount of people and vehicles and made sure everyone left the area.
- 7-20-2022 @ 9:36 pm Car vs deer accident on Highway 13. No injuries to the driver although the deer was not so lucky.
- 7-21-2022 10:42 am-A single tree fire caused by lightning was reported on BLM property.
- 7-22-2022 @1:50 pm Traffic complaint around the 40-mile marker on Highway 64. A deputy was able to locate the vehicle and driver was given a warning.
