Rangely PD arrested a 27 year old male for 1st Degree Criminal Trespass and Criminal Mischief. He was arrested on 7/28/2023 and given a PR bond on 7/28/2023.

7/23/2023 @ 2:57 pm. A party that was stuck in the mud at Sheriff’s Reservoir needed some assistance getting out. A deputy responded and was able to get the vehicle out.
7/24/2023 @ 11:26 am. A citizen in the town of Meeker reported that a vehicle hit their mail box and destroyed it.
7/24/2023 @ 12:43 pm. A citizen in the town of Meeker received their stolen trailer back but the suspect had left a little surprise for them, as some drugs were left inside. Meeker PD responded and collected the paraphenalia.
7/25/2023 @ 10:03 am. A gas leak was reported near mile-marker 1 on County Road 86. Meeker Volunteer Fire Dept., Rio Blanco County Sheriff’s Office, Emergency Management, Rangely Volunteer Fire Dept. and Excel Energy responded. No injuries were reported and County Road 86 was closed for an extended amount of time.
7/26/2023 @ 2:15 pm. A small fire was reported on County Road 131 by a Road and Bridge employee working in the area. Rangely Volunteer Fire Dept. responded.
7/27/2023 @ 12:13 pm. A speeding semi was reported in the area of Kenney Reservoir. There was a deputy in the area that observed the semi driving and advised it was not speeding. The truck was not pulled over.
7/28/2023 @ 9:40 pm. A one vehicle accident occured on County Road 13. The vehicle hit a power line. Minor injuries were reported and the driver was taken to the hospital. Rio Blanco County Sheriff’s Office, Meeker Volunteer Fire Dept. and White River Electric responded to the scene. Driver issued summons for DUI.
7/29/2023 @ 1:42 pm. A trailer full of items being taken to the dump flipped after hitting a rock in the roadway at the 62 mile-marker on Highway 64. No injuries were reported. A Sheriff Deputy and BLM Officer did traffic control until a tow truck could get on scene.
