Editor’s Note: The Rio Blanco County Sheriff’s Office has compiled the following information for publication to keep residents apprised of law enforcement activity within Rio Blanco County.
ARRESTS
- 43 Yr old male arrested 7-30-22 on out of county warrant bond set at $1,500
- 27 Yr old female arrested 7-29-22 for assault- domestic violence, child abuse, criminal mischief $1,000 PR bond Magistrate Shamis
- 36 Yr old male arrested 8-1-22 for vehicle theft and a Mesa County Warrant $1,000 PR bond Judge Norrdin
CALL SUMMARIES
- 7/25/2022 @ 1:16 pm- Rio Blanco County Communications Center received information via an “In Reach SOS” activation of a female party that had been bucked off a horse in the Marvine Lakes area. Classic Air Medical was dispatched to the scene and was able to locate the patient and transport.
- 7/26/2022 @ 3:46 pm-A bale of hay sitting on a trailer was reported on fire at an address on County Road 36. Meeker Fire arrived on scene and was able to put the fire out.
- 7/26/2022 @ 7:20 pm- a concerned citizen called in a bear cub that was wandering Highway 13 without its mother. Colorado Parks and Wildlife was contacted and handled the situation.
- 7/27/2022 @ 7:59 am- A one vehicle rollover accident occurred at approximately the 10 1/2-mile marker County Road 7. The driver was uninjured.
- 7/29/2022 @ 5:57 am- Domestic violence call involving a male and female. Female party was subsequently arrested.
- 7/30/2022 @ 11:23 am – Meeker Police arrested a male party for a warrant out of Garfield County after his mother reported him removing belongings that did not belong to him from her residence.
- 7/31/2022 @ 3:37 pm- a citizen called in to report a large rock on the road at approximately the 8 mile-marker of County Road 5. Road & Bridge responded and took care of the hazard.
